The Human Atlas features more than 250 topics, comprised from the world's largest library of medical imagery with over 7,000 animations and 12,000 illustrations. They have an international reputation for unequalled quality, scientific accuracy, and excellence in product development.
Coding and Reimbursement
Patient education materials can be used in-office during face-to-face time with patients or family for visits consisting primarily of counseling or coordination of care. Each Blausen topic provides information for 2 - 15 minutes of discussion. In this case, the topic of counseling or education should be documented along with the length of the visit. Blausen and any other patient education can also be billed using code 99211. This type of visit can be performed by non-physician providers. However, it must be considered a separate visit. If the education is done on the same day, modifiers found within our CPT search may be used to indicate a significant, separately identifiable E/M service. Speciality atlases are also available on the cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, pediatric, reproductive and respiratory systems.
